UHD 4K Video and Imaging

At its core, the HC-X1200 records UHD 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, delivering smooth, detailed footage. Its 1/2.5-inch MOS sensor provides excellent performance in various lighting conditions, ensuring vibrant colors and sharp images. The camera strikes a balance between high-quality imaging and a lightweight, compact form factor.

Powerful Lens and Zoom

For additional reach, it includes digital i.ZOOM that can extend up to 32x in 4K and 48x in Full HD, allowing users to capture distant subjects without changing lenses. Image Stabilization and Autofocus

The HC-X1200 incorporates Hybrid 5-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to reduce camera shake during handheld shooting. Its autofocus system includes face detection and tracking, helping maintain sharp focus on moving subjects. These features ensure professional-looking results even in dynamic shooting environments.

Recording Options and Slow Motion

The camcorder supports multiple recording formats and bitrates, including high-bitrate HEVC up to 100 Mb/s, providing flexibility for post-production workflows. It also offers Full HD slow-motion recording at up to 120 fps, enabling creative cinematic effects and detailed action capture.

Connectivity and Usability

The HC-X1200 is equipped with a full-size HDMI output for external monitoring or recording, dual SD card slots for simultaneous or relay recording, and professional audio inputs including a 3.5mm mic jack and headphone output. Its 3.5-inch articulating touchscreen provides intuitive control and framing, enhancing usability in both studio and field environments.

Battery Life and Practical Features

A high-capacity battery supports extended shooting sessions, typically over 6 hours of UHD 4K recording on a single charge. Built-in ND filters allow quick exposure adjustments in bright conditions, simplifying shooting without additional accessories.
